Welcome to onesko.com

This website is smartphone optimized for a 320*480 screen resolution. It is also XHTML & CSS valid and my 3rd version of the site since 2005. I have been online pushing pixels. O/S tweaking and noodling code since 1989. It all started with Microsoft Excel 1.1a so I got a Mac SE/30, next was a Macintosh Performa 630. In 1998 I moved from the Mac O/S to Windows O/S. In 2009 I acquired an aging iPhone 8GB which I use to check "my" sites, sniff, and take pictures, lots of pictures. In 2011 I went Samsung Nexus S Android, which I am slowly learning to tolerate. Back in 1997, I found lynda.com and on her recommendation, strived to create fast loading small sites under 32 KB as most users had dial-up modems. Now with broadband and high speed access, websites have grown big slow bloated bandwidth hogs. The smartphone has once again necessitated creating smaller faster sites and the pages found here average 48 KB and are smartphone friendly.

Monitor Technologies
The thoroughly tested links found on this site are for Windows users mostly and offer ways to keep your PC up to date, infection free or test something that gives most people glazed over eyes. I created the site for me to access when assisting others with their PC issues and testing cross compatibility of codes found in some of the pages as well as SEO, formatting issues and applying web conventions. It is my own personal web "sandbox" with hidden links and pages.

After years of looking for a free website template that I like, this robot demanded I take him home. I should have all the pages done by the end of February 2012 and will archive past pages. All images are links, all links outside of onesko.com breakout. Web conventions such as ALT and META TAGS are applied obsessively. I use Windows 7 Ultimate SP1 on a custom built RAID PC, Windows XP SP3 on a Sony VAIO FS740 laptop, various browsers, Notepad, Photoshop and FileZilla to do all this. I rarely forget "my" passwords and less frequently experience a computer infection.

Built for me, not you. I have my reasons.
